Malinalco, a captivating gem located in the southwestern region of the State of Mexico, is an enchanting destination suffused with rich Mesoamerican history. Known for its beautifully preserved ancient ruins, this serene mountain town offers a unique blend of tranquil allure and rich cultural immersion. The crowning attraction is the Aztec Templo de los Guerreros Águila y Jaguar, a temple carved straight out of the hillside which served as a ritual site for warrior initiation. The city's quaint, cobbled streets are lined with colorful markets offering traditional products, food stalls serving local delicacies, and vibrant murals portraying vivid depictions of the town's history and culture. Malinalco's natural beauty is accentuated by lush landscapes perfect for birdwatching and hiking, making it an ideal retreat for travelers seeking off-the-beaten-path adventures in Mexico.

I did a spiritual retreat in Malinalco, México that was as magical as it was grounding. The food was incredible, the town was colorful, and there was so much vibrant culture and history.  I would highly recommend the retreat as well, which was hosted by Lilia Roman.
