Is Antalya good for solo travel?

Safety:

Safety:Safe

Antalya is generally considered a safe city for solo female travelers. Turkish people are typically hospitable and respectful towards guests. There is a visible police presence in and around popular tourist spots, and emergency assistance is readily accessible. However, like any other tourist destination, common precautions should be considered, such as not walking alone at night in unfamiliar areas and being wary of pickpockets. Always keep your belongings secure and take care of yourself in situations involving alcohol or late-night parties.
Transport:

Transport:Easy

Antalya is relatively easy to navigate, thanks to its straightforward layout and extensive public transport options such as trams, buses, and taxis. The signage is prevalent in both Turkish and English, making it possible for non-Turkish speakers. However, it can get crowded during peak tourist season which might make commuting slightly challenging.
Things to do:

Things to do:Interesting

Antalya is rich in history and natural beauty. You would love to visit the ancient ruins, especially the ones in old city Kaleiçi, with winding streets and Ottoman-era architecture. Nature enthusiasts can find solace in Düden Waterfalls and Konyaalti Beach. Exploring the local markets can be an exciting experience with several great spots for shopping traditional Turkish goods and tasting local cuisine. However, language could be somewhat a barrier.
Food:

Food:Excellent

The food in Antalya is a culinary delight offering flavorsome and diverse options. Catering to a variety of palates, the city provides a gastronomic journey ranging from traditional Turkish dishes to international cuisine. Fresh vegetables, local herbs, olive oil, and citrus fruits make the food rich and varied. Do not miss out on the piquant meat dishes and the seafood, considering Antalya's location on the Mediterranean coast. There are plenty of vegetarian options as well, making the food scene inclusive for all. Portions are usually large, so come with an appetite.
Budget:

Budget:Affordable

Antalya is quite budget-friendly for solo female travelers. The cost of accommodations, food, and transportation are generally reasonable especially outside of the peak tourist season. Walking through the scenic old town is free, and there are plenty of inexpensive local eateries and markets. While major attractions may have entry fees, they are typically not excessively expensive.

Couple travel experience

In Antalya I was with my husband, but I think it's a very safe city, because they're good guardians and people was very nice to me. Dogs are more scared me at all :) don't go out in a night alone, think it's not a good idea.

Solo travel experience

I hitched from Kaş to Antalya city center alone. I didn't even have to raise my thumb because when the drivers realized my backpack they just stopped to ask me if I was hitchhiking. I felt completely safe. The people in Antalya are very used to hitchhikers and Turkish people in general if they see a solo female traveler they want to help. Antalya can be considered as a safe city for travelers.

Couple travel experience

We stayed in an airbnb in Muratpaşa and it was really nice. We could order really good food via app. People were friendly. There are many mosques to pray in. Also a lot of supermarkets and places to shop. The beaches are mostly run by hotels, so we didn't feel free to go to any beach. But we liked to go for a walk to the harbor.

In city center, you will feel safe because people are used to communicate with foreigners. Also, antalya is one of the most developed city of turkey. You can find taxis everywhere and everytime. Can find local pubs to have fun. Even you can swim anytime of a day does not matter day or night. I prefer sunrise for example. No one interrupts you.

Antalya is very safe. There are many beautiful and safe places to visit for tourists and travelers. Incidents such as purse snatching, human trafficking and theft are rare. Only the Nir neighborhood is a bit dangerous to enter at night, other than that, it is very safe at night.
