Prague is overall a safe city. There are certain parts to be avoided, however, using common sense is sufficient. There is security in most decent bars and clubs with zero tolerance towards violemce or harassment.

Prague is very safe! One of the safest cities in Europe! Of course there are some pickpockets from time to time, and weirdos and homeless people in certain quarters at night, but usually they don’t bother you. I have not been harassed on the street, except twice in all 22 years of my life, and both times the men were very drunk and I had my friends around. I am sure that strangers would have helped me if I was alone.

Prague is safe during the day, at night it is not, but only in some places as the main square .. You dont need to worry being alone on the street, there are always some people around. But just avoid completely dark places and streets, there are usually some homeless people, begging for money. But as a local here, i ve had only one bad experience with sexual harassment, i live here since 2015.
Posted: April 2, 2024I lived in Prague for 2 years and never felt unsafe. There were several times when I had to walk home at 3 am and never felt unsafe. Central Station is a little bit sketchy, but never has any issues late at night.
Posted: March 29, 2024In my opinion Prague and the Czech Republic at all are one of the safest places in the world. Of course when you’re travelling alone especially at night you have to be careful. But at all I think I feel safe most of the time.
Posted: March 14, 2024Prague Is located in one to the safest countries in the world, i lived here for most of my life, and the only thing you really have to worry about is pickpocketing, especially in public transportation, but overally very safe place.

My experience in Prague was a bit sad for me. I didn't feel safe at night, I had to spend the night outside due to my login problem due to the hostel check-in time and I was constantly harassed, men were giving very disturbing looks, I felt very unsafe. İ hope you have really good experience in prague .But i want to recommend you to eat Trdelnik which is so famous traditional dessert in Prague. İ loved it . Also city is not that expensive. İ hope you will have good experience. Be careful and safe all travel ladies :)
Posted: April 24, 2024It was my first solo trip. In terms of safety I had mixed experience specially in clubs. You need to watch out for your personal belongings or else it can get stolen. But overall I love the vibe of the city. I did a hike with a friend second time I was there to Hrensko, it was beautiful

Prague was a very big city, but the architecture was wonderful and the buildings looked very well maintained. There were a lot of tourists, but still be alert of your stuff. I recommend watching concerts if you have time!
Posted: May 13, 2024It is a very beautiful unique city. We stayed at a almost perfect hostel and since the city is already cheap the accommodation was also very cheap almost 12 euros per night. The city is beautiful, we spent most of our time in Prag castle and climb the bell tower there, which u recommend highly. The famous bridge and the old town square are so impressive and you feel like you can't leave there. My overall experience was so good. I traveled lots of cities and Prague is my favorite.
