I adore this city. Mostly people welcoming. Subway is pretty good. There is a lot of touristic places. I love to walk in the city because every street taking you different places. You will feel so calm.

When I visited Vienna, it was cold, but the sun made it warmer. We didn't use public transportation, since all the touristic places were accessible on foot. However, by the end of the day, you might be tired - but it's worth it. Sitting on the terrace of the Albertina and taking in the surroundings is a great way to rest.

I felt very safe the whole time. 4 days were more than enough to see all I wanted. The Christmas markets are very worth visiting more for the experience than the shopping per se. The city center is quite small so you can walk almost everywhere with little effort but public transportation is widely available and easy to use.

Very nice, I would recommend it. It's a clean city, calm and very cultural, with beautiful green spaces. The city of Vienna captured my soul and my heart belongs to it. It is a serious-looking city, full of right angles and old historical streets. It screams majestic, and you can almost see the phantoms from eras past travelling through the air in gorgeous gowns . Vienna is worth a visit for her face and culture is as old as Europe herself— from her cuisine, street performances, and architecture.
Posted: April 4, 2024Experienced: February, 2023Vienna was amazing for a solo traveler, especially for someone who loves art and museums. I was there only for 3 days and from the morning till the night i was walking around and visiting museums. The city is magnificent. I stayed at female hostel, and the experience was amazing. It was my first solo travel, and i felt safe, inspite of the fact that city was full of tourists…

I loved Vienna very much. I saw Gustav Klmtin's famous painting The Kiss up close and visited many museums. Vienna was a wonderful city. I stayed in a hotel and everything was very cosy. I tried Vienna's famous coffee and dessert and it was great.

I don‘t know why but I feel like it‘s always sunny in Vienna! (Even in the coldest october) The pictures were taken by my analog camera when I visited a good friend last october. I always felt safe in the city and even though it‘s a big city it doesn‘t feel like it. I can highly recommend, it‘s a really beautiful city.🌞

Lots to do and see. Most people speak English too. There is something for everyone here in Vienna. I found it not too difficult to make friends so that’s a plus. Felt very safe especially as a woman walking on my own at night.

I stayed at the Stadaffe hostel it was super social and nice. The city is very safe to walk around both during the day and at night. It’s is really clean and gives a nice and cozy atmosphere. You have a lot of budget friendly fast food and a lot of shops. It’s really easy to move around with public transportation.
Posted: December 28, 2023Schönbrunn Palace is beautiful, as is Belvedere with Gustav Klimt's Kiss. I loved walking around St. Stephen's Cathedral, Hofburg, Vienna Opera House, City Hall, and Museum Quarter and drinking coffee in local cafes in the city center. It is definitely worth seeing Hundertwasser House as well, even from the outside. Beautiful views of the city extend from Nussberg, the wine-growing area.

I would say that Vienna is extremely safe, even for female solo travellers. Of course it varies from district to district, but especially the inner districts 1-9 are safe. As a woman, I feel safe here, even being allone in the streets at night.

Overall Vienna is quite safe i guess. Especially in the inner districts. But don’t go through dark streets alone during the night. U should also not go in parks at nighttime alone. Public transport is normally safe and no problem.

Hey, I'm Marie-Christine and I love everything that has to do with animals 🐥, vintage clothes 👗 and sports 🏃♀️ . I'm plantpowerd and like stargazing and going to the museum. I'm currently studying physics, but will use my next semester to travel a bit, see the world and meet new people.💝
In Vienna there is something to do for everyone. No matter if you like art, movies, music, architecture, food, partying, you will find events that cater to your interests every day. I especially recommend visiting the state opera one night: you can buy standing tickets last minute for 10€. Vienna is generall a very safe city, so it's no problem to walk around at all hours of the day. Foodwise Austria is a bit bland. Vienna has a deeply rooted "Kaffehaus" culture. To have a traditional experience I would recommend visiting Cafe Landtmann.
Posted: August 6, 2023I lived in Vienna for 2 years (between 2019 and 2021) and I absolutely LOVED it! There is so much to do, everywhere is just so beautiful, and the prices are very fair, I found it cheaper than other European capitals :) Always recommend it to everyone, as it still seems like a „underrated” place!
